《星际迷航：下一代》（原名：Star Trek: The Next Generation，简称为 ST:TNG 或 TNG）是一出背景设定在《星际迷航》时空的科幻电视系列剧，它也是 1966 年至 1969 年间的《星际迷航：原初》电视剧之后第一个真人演出的电视续篇。《下一代》的时间设定在《原初》约一个世纪之后，描述的是一艘新的星舰和新的航员组的故事。 电视剧的构想来自《星际迷航》的原创人吉恩·罗登伯里，他也担任了制作人的工作。它于 1987 年 9 月 28 日首播第一集，两小时长的试播章节“远角遭遇战”，之后持续播映七季。最后一集是于 1994 年 5 月 29 日播出的“一切美好”。电视剧在播映期间吸引了许多追随者，而且跟它的前作一样，在世界各地多次重播。

Shortly after Picard is diagnosed with a long-term, potentially debilitating brain disorder, he starts experiencing bizarre shifts into three main time periods: 25 years into the future, a few days before the Enterprise-D is sent on its mission to Farpoint station, and the present. Picard realizes that Q is behind these shifts through time. Stardate: 47988.1. After his encounter with Q, Picard assembles the senior staff, and wonders if Q is actually giving him a chance to save humanity by showing him that the spatial anomaly also exists in the past. As they talk, the ship reaches the Neutral Zone, then Picard returns to the future, where Beverly's ship is also on the edge of the Neutral Zone. He convinces a reluctant Worf to accompany the group into Klingon territory, and then travels to the past, where he orders the crew into the Devron system.
