李谦（李俊基 饰）9岁时目睹父亲被杀，母亲和姐姐沦为阶下囚，因为受不了打击失忆，后来成为了铁石家的养子，被取名勇儿。渐渐长成为一个小混混。偶然机会恢复了记忆对父亲的死开始怀疑起来，而唯一的线索就是刺死父亲的剑上的图案，为了寻找到那把剑，勇儿成为了小偷，成为了江湖上盛名远扬的侠盗一枝梅。他专门惩罚有钱有势，有武力的贪官，与当权者和腐朽的社会制度进行抗争。由此他也成为朝廷官员们最痛恨的罪犯，以及穷困百姓们的希望，然而无论百姓和朝廷官员都不知道他的真正来历。偶然的机会下，一枝梅与贵族卞植（李元钟 饰）的女儿卞恩彩（韩孝珠 饰）相遇，并陷入爱情。 最终一枝梅是否能找出当年父亲遇害的真相？
