The Facts of Life is een Amerikaanse sitcom die oorspronkelijk van 24 augustus 1979 tot 7 mei 1988 op het NBC-televisienetwerk draaide en daarmee de langstlopende sitcom van de jaren tachtig is. Het uitgangspunt van de serie, een spin-off van de sitcom Diff'rent Strokes, concentreert zich op Edna Garrett terwijl ze huismoeder wordt op de fictieve Eastland School, een geheel vrouwelijke kostschool in Peekskill, New York.
