Na een traumatische ervaring tijdens een regionale blazersbandcompetitie op de middelbare school, zweert euphoniumspeelster Kumiko Oumae de muziek af. Ze hoopt op een frisse start op de middelbare school. Maar het lot beschikt anders, want ze wordt omringd door mensen met een passie voor de schoolharmonie.
