Waar gaat Son of the Pink Panther over?
Het is al meer dan 30 jaar geleden dat inspecteur Jacques Clouseau de onschuld van Maria Gambrelli wist te bewijzen. Gambrelli is ondertussen verhuisd naar een dorpje aan zee, waar toevallig ook prinses Yasmin van Lugash op bezoek is. Ze wordt gekidnapt, en omwille van de goede relaties tussen Frankrijk en Lugash, krijgt inspecteur Dreyfuss de opdracht Yasmin te vinden. Hij wordt echter behoorlijk tegengewerkt door een plaatselijke politieagent die tot ieders verbazing de zoon van de legendarische Jaques Clouseau blijkt te zijn.
