유명한 탐험가인 에밋 박사는 자신의 동료들이 실종되었다는 소식을 듣고 그들을 찾으러 나서게 된다. 이를 위해 구조팀을 만들어 그들을 찾아 나선다. 그러나 아마존에는 그들이 생각하지 못한 충격과 공포들이 기다리고 있었다.
