Hudebník Eric Draven a jeho snoubenka byli zavražděni. Rok po jejich smrti se Eric vrací obdařen zvláštními schopnostmi zpět mezi živé. Z toho co se stalo si pamatuje velmi málo a jeho jediným cílem tak je najít ty, jež jsou zodpovědní za smrt jeho snoubenky a jeho samotného. Se všemi si to hodlá vyřídit, dokud nebude zničená celá organizace, pro kterou vrazi pracovali.

Frederick Balsam (Mavor Moore), the ailing leader of the mysterious Lazarus Group has successfully transferred his soul into the body of his former personal trainer James Horton (Michael Weatherly). Now young, virile and still pure evil, he has destroyed the body jump technology and is systematically eliminating anyone who knows about it.
